City police were called to the corner of North 13th and Green streets to find a 22-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds at 11:30 p.m. on June 11, Daily Voice reported.
Both were rushed to Reading Hospital Tower Health where they were placed in "serious" condition, police said.
Now, two men are in custody.
Henry Mendoza, 17, of Reading, was arrested at his Greenwich Street home without incident late on Thursday, June 15, the department said. He is being charged as an adult with attempted homicide and related counts, according to police.
Court records show the teen was arraigned on Friday, June 16 and his bail was set at $175,000.
Bonef Tarick Hassell, 44, of Reading, was taken into custody by a US Marshals task force, authorities said. He is also charged with attempted murder, and his bail was set at $1 million during his arraignment on Thursday, according to court filings.
